On July 10, 2026, the Cross-Border Cycling Rally Along the PL-SK Borderland Routes took place, organized as part of the “Electromobile Borderland PL-SK” project. The event was organized by: the Municipality of Osiek Jasielski, the Municipality of Krempna, and the Municipality of Nižná Polianka (Slovakia).

The rally started at the Market Square in Osiek Jasielski (carport), from where participants set off on a route leading through the following localities: Załęże, Zawadka Osiecka, Pielgrzymka, Mrukowa, Brzezowa, Kąty, Myscowa, Krempna, Kotań, Świątkowa Wielka, Grab, and Ożenna, to finish the ride in the locality of Nižná Polianka in Slovakia.

The total length of the route was 57 km and led along public and local roads, running through the naturally attractive areas of the Low Beskids and the Polish-Slovak borderland.

60 people participated in the rally, with 20 participants from each partner municipality: Osiek Jasielski, Krempna, and Nižná Polianka. Participation in the event was free of charge.

The main objective of the rally was to integrate residents of the partner municipalities through joint sports and recreational activity and to develop cross-border cooperation.

The event also served to promote electromobility and ecological forms of transport, popularize an active and healthy lifestyle, promote the tourist and natural values of the Low Beskids and the border areas of Poland and Slovakia, as well as educate participants in the field of road safety.

As part of the event organization, participants were provided with: medical care, recovery drinks, meals, accommodation, functional T-shirts, backpacks, water bottles with logos, personal accident insurance (NNW), and transport provided under the “Electromobile Borderland PL-SK” project. The Municipality of Krempna, as part of the rally organization, prepared promotional materials in the form of brochures presenting the positive effects of the implemented electromobility initiatives.

The rally proceeded according to the planned schedule, in a safe atmosphere and under favorable conditions, and its implementation contributed to achieving the project objectives by strengthening cooperation between partners and promoting sustainable mobility in the Polish-Slovak borderland.
